Why Acai Berry Capsules?

Scientifically known as Euterpe Oleraceae, native to Amazon region, Acai berries are a Brazilian “superfruit.”

Acai Berry has gained considerable amount of popularity in the recent years as a weight loss supplement; Acai Berry contributes to the overall health of the body. It is a powerful antioxidant and antioxidants help to neutralise the by-products of fat burning and thus ensure that the body can carry on burning fat. Acai’s fibre content also helps to cleanse the colon and this is one of the steps in achieving weight loss for people who have slow digestion.

A study conducted on Acai Berry found that Acai Berry intake reduced total body fat, reduced skinfolds, and increased insulin sensitivity in overweight women. In the same study, women whose body weight was normal experienced a redistribution of body fat, with reduced subcutaneous body fat but increased visceral fat.

In addition to its weight loss benefits, Acai berries are extremely high in anthocyanins, a type of antioxidant that supports balanced cholesterol levels. They are also rich in plant sterols that provide cardioprotective benefits, including supporting circulation, improving overall blood composition, and relaxing the blood vessels.

Acai berries are powerhouses against bad cell growth. Multiple studies have found that the anthocyanins and polyphenols found in acai berries have strong antiproliferative properties, which means that they stop bad cells from growing out of control.

Acai Berry contain Vitamin C, Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and E. It is also a source of calcium, magnesium, zinc and copper. Brazilians have been eating acai berry for centuries to promote skin health because they believe in its anti-ageing properties.

Acai Berry extract has properties that can prevent irritation in the lungs typically associated with respiratory distress and swelling. Acai Berry also plays an important role in the body’s cellular protection system, helping to keep cells strong against the invasion of free radicals.

Studies have suggested that acai could help improve cholesterol levels by decreasing total and LDL cholesterol. The antioxidants in acai berries counteract the damaging effects of inflammation and oxidation in brain cells, which can negatively affect memory and learning. In one study, acai even helped improve memory.

The antioxidants found in Acai berries; anthocyanins, are excellent for heart health. Additionally, anthocyanins are good at preventing the oxidation of cholesterol. When circulating cholesterol, no matter whether you have high or low levels, gets oxidised, it sticks to the walls of arteries causing their narrowing. This build-up of plaque eventually leads to high blood pressure.

Research also suggests that diets rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory polyphenolic compounds lower the risk of age related brain issues.
